How You Will Make an Impact
The Inventory Control Technician is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the organization. The purpose of this position is to ensure the physical inventory matches the available stock and auditing all documents pertaining to the shipping and receiving of those products.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock Ensure accuracy of forms and paperwork produced Examine and inspect inventory items for wear or defects Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner; Escalate issues to management Research inventory discrepancies or exceptions and make necessary corrections Maintain inventory accuracy metrics and associated reports for management Perform cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory Track and report non-conforming product Provide back-up support to other Distribution Center personnel, as needed Follow safety and security procedures at all times while on organization premises Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse, tool or supply rooms, other areas Data input in spreadsheets and software applications Maintain a professional relationship with all resource centers Adhere to attendance policies Perform warehouse related work, as needed Administrative duties, responsibilities, and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time Qualifications
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:
Good record keeping techniques Excellent planning and organizational skills; Detail oriented individual that is systemic in their approach to all assigned tasks Good oral and written communication proficiency Ability to work independently with minimal direction Able to meet schedules and timelines Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations) Ability to identify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events Ability to interface with various departments and personnel MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma One year of related business duties Warehouse/Distribution Center experience a plus Must be able to pass the forklift certification test and drive a forklift Proficient with MS Office applications (Email, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) High attention to detail and work accuracy TRAVEL : Ability to travel in performance of job duties is required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to process a large volume of paperwork and data Required use of safety and protective gear Adhere to safety and lifting procedures Mental Demands: high workflow management, high project coordination Hand Dexterity: use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, typing Talking: especially where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly Average Hearing: able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information Average Visual Abilities: ordinary acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or operate machinery Physical Strength: Exert up to 30 lbs. of force regularly. Frequent and heavy pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, stooping, twisting and turning, climb a ladder Frequent multi-tasking, changing of task priorities, repetitious motions Work in an distribution center warehouse environment with frequent deadline pressures. Job duties require various project worksites, some of which may be under construction and/or renovation
