Position: Accounting Manager – Reporting to the Director of Accounting. We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our pipeline accounting and finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of oil and gas, midstream, or pipeline accounting experience with deep knowledge of financial reporting and analysis, and US GAAP. If hired, you will be responsible for all aspects of property accounting for multiple midstream and pipeline projects.
Responsibilities Responsible for all financial accounting processes for a $5B portfolio of midstream assets and investments
Lead monthly accounting close, including preparation and review of journal entries and financial analysis
Oversee maintenance and execution of SOX control environment and activities
Prepare and review timely and accurate management and investor reports and support external reporting requirements (e.g., 10-K, 10-Q)
Work closely with other accounting personnel, FP&A, project operations and management, and the corporate financial reporting team to ensure proper accounting, consolidation and reporting of all assigned projects
Prepare and review monthly accrual vs. actual variance analysis
Oversee internal and external audits for the portfolio
Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s Degree; 8+ years of experience; 2+ years of supervisor/management experience
Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA
8+ years of midstream/pipeline experience
Experience with external and management reporting
Excellent technical accounting skills and knowledge of US GAAP
Hands-on experience with financial statement preparation and review in SAP (SAP S/4HANA)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong initiative and ability to interact effectively in a team
Effective communication skills (oral and written)
Advanced Excel skills
Strong problem solving and analytical thinking to accomplish accounting and finance objectives

Job Duties & Responsibilities Prepares financial reports that are in compliance with GAAP and FERC, in a timely manner, to accurately reflect the financial position of the Company
Provides accounting oversight to businesses and departments within the Company and ensures proper controls are in place for accurate financial reporting
Ensures financial data integrity through the implementation and maintenance of a strong control environment
Keeps abreast of, and applies GAAP, SEC regulations, and relevant company policies, practices, and procedures
Manages professional staff, and effectively communicates and executes performance management
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
