TITLE: Manufacturing Supervisor

COMP: From $60,000-$70,000

LOCATION: Louisville, KY

Our client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a candidate for a Manufacturing Supervisor direct hire position in Louisville, KY. This is an onsite role working Monday-Thursday from 5:30 AM-4:30 PM.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise about 20 employees per shift, with leads reporting.
• Staff, schedule, and participate in the interview process for assigned departments.
• Coach, counsel, and develop team members; complete performance evaluations and goal-setting.
• Monitor and minimize operational expenditures through process improvements and waste reduction.
• Complete attendance, timekeeping, and daily production reports; submit documentation to HR and Payroll.
• Support the Manufacturing Manager in operations and decision-making.
• Develop countermeasures for production issues, scrap, and process deficiencies.
• Orient and train new hires and internal transfers.
• Participate in internal audits and supplier development programs related to scrap reduction.
• Maintain leader boards, ensure daily PMs are completed, and conduct daily safety sweeps.
• Take part in the weekly EHS audit observation program.
• Provide factual updates on production during hall meetings and escalate issues when needed.
• Lead by example, enforce policies/procedures, and ensure compliance with all EHS requirements.
• Support implementation of 5S and Kaizen initiatives in collaboration with engineering.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Team Lead or Supervisor role.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong decision-making skills with reliable follow-through.
• Basic computer proficiency and strong organizational skills.
• General manufacturing knowledge, metals fabrication preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, mentor employees, and enforce company policies.
• Prior hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.

TERMS: This is a direct hire position that pays from $60,000-$70,000 per year. There is a 401K with match, health insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance.
