Overview
The Production Manager is responsible for developing and managing multiple deliverables for the different HBS projects in the USA, with a special focus on the Tennis US Open and the Concacaf tournaments. He/she will work during both the project preparation and operational phases of projects, including the delivery of production plans, contracting, staffing, scheduling, and budget management. The Production Manager supports the Head of Production and Production Management team to deliver consistent broadcast production plans that meet the company’s financial and strategic targets and objectives.
Responsibilities
Supports the Senior Production Manager with the overall Production Management of these projects, supported by a team of production coordinators
Develop live and non-live production plans and workflows in close collaboration with the editorial and technical teams
Develop and forecast production budgets
Responsible for the financial result of the managed scope
Develop key relationships with the client
With a high level of expertise, provide Vendor and Supplier Management and build relationships. Collaborate with external vendors, production houses, and the client to secure resources and services needed for the production
Contractual and operational management of sub-contractors, technical and staffing suppliers
Develop and implement event-time staff training programs and corresponding documentation
Optimization and further development of existing scheduling processes
Collaboration and communication with all other HBS departments (e.g. Project Management, Booking, Engineering, HR, Finance, Logistics and Legal)
Expected to work as needed in HBS’ office in Coral Gables, Miami, FL, with occasional preparation trips to the relevant venue/s, and event time relocation to New York during the months of July, August and September for the US Open 2026 project delivery, and/or to other locations for Concacaf events and other US based HBS projects, as needed
Qualifications
Elevated level of experience and understanding of Broadcast Operations (Live and Non-Live Production, Engineering, Digital, Venue Management, IBC & Broadcast Structures)
Experienced in managing technical production plans and services
Project management skills: WeTrack and other relevant PM Tools
Excellent command of Microsoft Office Software Package
Soft Skills:
Structured, organised and accurate, with good time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Good in establishing, implementing, and promoting process
Effective communication skills and able to work with people specialised in different areas
Analytical problem-solving approach
Consensus and services oriented, ability to lead meetings with many participants with different requirements
Pro-active work attitude
Previous experiences in managing teams and sub-contractors
Experiences in Client-Facing environments with the need for diplomatic and negotiation skills
Open to travel, including long-term stays
Willingness to work in a growing, international team
Location, travel and work arrangement
Locations and travel may include the HBS office in Coral Gables, Miami, FL, and event time relocation to New York during US Open 2026; travel to other venues for Concacaf events and other US-based HBS projects as needed
