Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Job Title: Senior Accountant A mission-driven healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This role will support general accounting functions, contribute to the month-end close, and assist with financial reporting, analysis, and audit preparation. Ideal candidates will bring a strong foundation in accounting and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset. Key Responsibilities Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and supporting schedules Perform account reconciliations and analysis of balance sheet and income statement items Post journal entries and ensure the accuracy of financial data in the general ledger Support the budgeting process by working with department heads to track expenses and identify variances Participate in the year-end audit and prepare requested documentation for external auditors Maintain fixed asset schedules and monitor capital expenditures Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist in implementing process improvements Provide support on ad hoc financial projects, cost analysis, or reporting needs Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience Solid understanding of GAAP and nonprofit or healthcare accounting practices Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a healthcare, nonprofit, or grant-funded environment Exposure to audit coordination or budgeting processes CPA or CPA track a plus Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries Accounting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Creative Financial Staffing (CFS) by 2x Sign in to set job alerts for “Senior Accountant” roles.
