This role will support key cost accounting functions across production and distribution operations, working closely with finance and operations leadership. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to drive process improvements that enhance efficiency and profitability. Key Responsibilities: Assist in month-end closing, including inventory evaluation and roll-forward analysis Serve as assistant/backup to the Operations Controller Maintain the inventory relief process for subcomponents used in high-level parts Assist with quarterly physical inventories and perform inventory cycle counts Investigate and resolve inventory variances Set up and update standard costs for manufactured goods Analyze cost accounting data and prepare related budget reports Establish costs for business processes such as administration, labor, and shipping Recommend process and policy changes to reduce costs and maximize profit Advise executives and management on appropriate costing strategies based on financial data Recommend strategies to the CFO and Operations Controller Maintain awareness of industry trends and best practices Participate in special projects and other administrative tasks as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 5+ years of experience with at least 2+ years of specific cost accounting experience Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Cost Accounting Standards Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems (experience with financial reporting tools preferred) What We Offer: Base salary range: $85,000 – $105,000 , (depending on experience) plus discretionary bonus Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan with company match Opportunities for professional growth and advancement Seniority level Seniority level Associate Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Accounting/Auditing Industries Staffing and Recruiting and Manufacturing Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at The Bolton Group by 2x Inferred from the description for this job Medical insurance Vision insurance 401(k) Disability insurance Paid paternity leave Paid maternity leave Get notified when a new job is posted.
