Overview Accounting Manager role at Sully-Miller Contracting Co., a Colas USA subsidiary operating throughout Southern California. We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager in our Brea office who aspires to be a future financial leader. Key Responsibilities Track and analyze cash position; assist in cash forecasting and reporting of net financial position Prepare, review, and analyze financial information to ensure integrity is maintained Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes; ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidated IFRS & GAAP financial reporting packages to the parent company Supervise and mentor accounting staff Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting; prepare tax worksheets and support schedules Participate in external and internal audits as required Maintain and develop internal control procedures; uphold Colas ethics and business principles Ad hoc projects and reporting as needed Perform other duties as assigned Education Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in accounting, finance, or related field Skills & Qualifications At least 7 years of accounting experience; construction industry accounting experience including WIP reporting Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS, including revenue recognition and lease accounting Experience managing a small team CPA and/or CMA certification desired Excellent time management, organization, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and MS Office (Outlook, Excel); intermediate level Experience with JDE, Sage, Timberline, or similar construction industry software is a plus Motivated, professional, organized, detail-oriented, and effective communicator Compensation & Benefits Compensation range of $105,000–$120,000 annually, plus discretionary annual bonus Competitive benefits including medical, dental, and vision; affordable employee share of premiums; company-provided disability and life insurance; 401(k) with 4% employer matching and special 2% company contributions Tuition reimbursement; defined career path Other perks such as Colas’ international hockey, running, soccer & talent competitions Equal Opportunity & Accommodations Colas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
