At SSM Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services, and SSM-Southern Illinois is seeking a Critical Care Advanced Practitioner (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Practice at a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility.
Requirements:
- Graduate, nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Program
- NPs Must hold Acute Care certification
- NP or PA should have clinicals or rotational experience in critical care
- Ability to obtain PA/NP licensure in Illinois
- Team player and collaborative
Opportunity:
- Nocturnist position working 7p-7a on a 7on/7off schedule (Tuesday to Tuesday) providing coverage in 16-bed CCU.
- The primary focus of this position will be assisting in providing high quality care to critical care patients including patient admissions and consults as well as seeing post-op surgical patients.
- On average, two patient admissions per night.
- Procedural experience in performing central and arterial lines as well as intubation desired; willing to train the right candidate.
- On-the-job training paired with a collaborating physician for support.
