Responsibilities include supervising staff, ensuring quality control, monitoring equipment, and managing daily production activities. This role follows a Pitman night shift schedule, providing leadership and oversight for production operations during assigned shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure all operational staff adhere to safety protocols and proper equipment usage.
  • Provide ongoing training and technical support to ensure staff follow work instructions and best practices.
  • Identify and report any defective or non-conforming products.
  • Conduct quality control checks per work instructions and direction from production and quality leaders.
  • Maintain product and component traceability through proper use of the Data Collection System, ensuring continuous operation.
  • Monitor raw material inventory needed to meet production schedules, restocking and ordering as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Technician to address and resolve equipment issues.
  • Communicate with Lead Hands and Production Supervisors from adjacent shifts to relay key production updates.
  • Inform the Production Manager of any concerns related to production, quality, processes, or personnel as they arise.
  • Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency, yield, and equipment uptime.
  • Maintain proficiency in all production tasks and step in as needed to cover breaks or absences.
  • Work overtime when required.
  • Focus on minimizing safety risks and quality issues.
  • Enhance the technical knowledge and engagement of production staff.
  • Maximize equipment uptime while ensuring product traceability and quality.
  • Meet production targets and drive improvements outlined by the Production Manager.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration among shift employees.
  • Share company updates with the team as needed.
  • Coordinate with other teams to drive efficiencies and improvements across operations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Fluent in Mandarin
  • 3+ years of production experience
  • Understanding of process improvement, budgeting, and production standards

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience as a production supervisor in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with production planning, controls, and instrumentation
  • Familiarity with MRP and/or ERP systems

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: $78,000 - $85,000 annually
  • Annual bonus eligibility up to 10% of salary
