As a CBRE Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, and is responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.
  • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems, including valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and operating safely.
  • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques to accomplish tasks and solve routine problems.
  • Have broad knowledge of the own job discipline and some knowledge of several disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values. May help reach agreements.
  • Influence the quality of one’s own work and the work of others on the team.
  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.

What You’ll Need

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Electrical license preferred. Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Understanding of procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
  • Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division; ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
