The Barista will make quality beverages and products while maintaining a welcoming and comfortable environment. The successful candidate should be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea and drink preparation and go the extra mile to make their customer’s day.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve consistently outstanding beverages by adhering to recipe standards.
  • Ensure that bar and lounge are tidy at all times.
  • Proactively engage with customers to deliver exceptional customer experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized space for guests and coworkers in all areas of the café, lounge and patio.
  • Order all coffee and bar supplies, stock work and inventory.
  • Perform a variety of tasks including clearing tables of mugs, glasses or dishes, washing glassware, cleaning and organizing coffee/condiment station and clearing out trash.
  • Be reliable and flexible, with availability for overtime and last-minute shifts for special events and meetings.
  • Adhere to proper safety guidelines at all times.
  • Dress professionally.
  • Arrive on time and take required breaks. Input hours accurately and on time each pay period.
  • Contribute to creating a positive work environment by avoiding gossip and meanness about other employees.
  • Assist in a variety of duties, including events, and tasks as directed.

Requirements

  • The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers
  • Thrived in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working a flexible schedule when needed.
  • 1+ year experience in food service/hospitality is preferred.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional hospitality in a personal and professional manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and healthy respect for cleanliness.
  • Reliable and consistent - Must be available for overtime for special events or meetings.
  • Professional behavior and appearance at all times.
  • Ability to walk, stand and sit for periods of time. Must be able to lift, carry and/or move objects up to 30 pounds.
  • Successful completion of Tips Server Training within 30 days of employment

The Expected Compensation For This Position Is $17.60 USD - $22.00 USD Hourly
