Overview
The Global Treasury Manager is a key member of the finance leadership team, playing a hands-on leadership role within a complex global treasury function. This position works closely with the Treasurer, CFO, and the broader Finance organization to support the company's ongoing transformation and evolution. The successful candidate will lead key areas including cash and debt management, financial risk management, insurance, and investments, and will contribute to strategic treasury projects, such as the implementation of a new Treasury Management System (TMS) and the integration of Becton Dickinson’s Biosciences and Diagnostics Solutions businesses. Responsibilities
Global Treasury Operations & Cash Management
Oversee all aspects of global cash and liquidity management, including daily cash positioning, cash flow forecasting, reporting and short-term investment strategies. Manage and optimize all banking relationships, services, and fee structures across a worldwide network of banking partners. Oversee implementation of Treasury policies, procedures, security framework and external disclosure requirements. Drive the continuous improvement and automation of treasury operations to enhance efficiency and internal controls. Monitor the performance of and services provided by global banks, including review and confirmation of credit quality and ratings of all banks the Company partners with. Corporate Finance & Capital Markets
Assist the Treasurer in the management of the company’s debt and capital structure, including debt issuance, refinancing, and credit rating agency relationships. Support the evaluation of new financing structures to fund the company’s growth and strategic investments. Assist in the preparation of financial models and analysis to support M&A activities, capital projects, and other corporate initiatives. Develop and strengthen knowledge of and relationships with global commercial and investment bank partners across geographies, services and products, in support of company strategic objectives. Risk Management & Insurance
Manage foreign exchange and interest rate risk through the implementation of hedging strategies. Manage global insurable risks program and insurance procurement, including working with brokers, underwriters, and other third-party administrators. Evaluate and select policies, including Property, Casualty, General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, Directors and Officers, and Cyber-risk policies. Coordinate and submit, as necessary, the gathering of insurance policy renewal data. Collaboration & Leadership
Act as a key liaison to internal stakeholders, including Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Legal, and business unit leaders, providing expert financial guidance. Project lead/coordinator/participant in Treasury, Tax, Legal, Accounting projects. Serve as Treasury leader in strategic projects, including Kyriba implementation and the global integration of Becton Dickinson BioSciences & Diagnostics. Qualifications
BS in Accounting/Finance; MBA or CTP preferred. 10+ years of experience in treasury roles within a global organization of significant scale. Strong understanding of treasury operations & risk management, including cash & bank management, foreign exchange and capital markets. Hands-on experience with Treasury Management Systems. Demonstrated ability to drive transformation, process improvement and strategy for a treasury function; experience with M&A integration is a plus. Strong analytical skills and technical knowledge of treasury operations, capital markets and financial risk management. Ability to lead, influence, and partner with associates globally, with strong communication skills. Knowledge in insurance and risk management matters, including loss prevention, claims management, loss mitigation, and insurance program design, structure and placement. Fast mover, nimble and decisive, balancing control with flexibility, procedure with simplicity, while creating an environment of performance and results.
