This role is responsible for ensuring operational data is fit for purpose, defining controls, and monitoring processes in accordance with enterprise data management standards. Key responsibilities include triaging and remediating data incidents, performing data analysis, training new users, and conducting impact analysis from data updates. Job expectations include helping define data access and ownership by domain, conducting quality control, and overseeing data maintenance.

Responsibilities

Ensures data is accurate, complete, and fit for performing data analyses through testing procedures and data controls to identify business insights fit for purpose for a product set.

Develops and enforces Enterprise Data Management policies and standards, collaborates with teams to ensure adherence, and acts as a point of contact for data compliance; manages operational elements of the Enterprise Data Strategy Governance and Operations (EDSGO) relationship.

Manages data-related incidents, communicates and resolves or escalates issues as needed; handles data inquiries related to data issues, data availability, and potential sourcing alternatives.

Develops, manages, and executes controls, ensuring tracking, monitoring, and resolution of any control breaches with data platforms.

Partners with Business and Technology functions to drive requirements documents and ensures upstream resolution for data-related incidents.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years’ experience with data analysis and/or product expertise within the financial industry.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and experience performing complex data analysis with SQL, Advanced MS Excel (Including VBA) and/or TOAD.

Knowledge/familiarity with loan products and/or experience with regulatory or financial reporting of same.

Self-motivated, intellectually curious, able to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities.

Excellent relationship-building and communication skills with peers and leaders inside and outside the CFO DM organization.

Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills; ability to summarize complex issues clearly and succinctly.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Business

Prior Data Management or Technology/Finance experience in Consumer Banking, Wholesale Credit, or Credit Risk at Bank of America

Familiarity with Bank of America Enterprise Data Management Policy & Standards and the Bank’s Risk Framework

Experience with process automation using Tableau and Alteryx
