What is the Opportunity?
We are looking for a highly motivated Reservoir Engineer with petroleum engineering experience, preferably with an oil and gas operator. You will work in a fast-paced cross-functional team to evaluate, market, and optimize a broad array of oil and gas assets. This role is an engineering position within the Energy Investment Banking platform of RBC Capital Markets. What will you do?
Provide engineering technical support for A&D project execution and business development. Strong proficiency in reservoir engineering and economic analysis required. Proactively identify downside risks and upside opportunities. Prepare technical evaluations and presentations for management including reserves evaluations, field studies, technical analyses and other exhibits for pitch books, executive summaries, and data room presentations. Present results of engineering analyses in pitch and data room settings. What do you need to succeed?
Bachelor’s degree in petroleum or chemical engineering. 2-4 years of petroleum engineering experience, preferably with an operator. Operations/production experience is a plus. Proficient in Spotfire and Microsoft Office. ARIES and PHDWin experience are a plus. Exposure to US Basins (Lower 48). What’s in it for you?
