Associate Creative Director - Social Video and Content at UnitedHealth Group. The candidate will guide the creative process from concept through execution, oversee a team of video professionals, and stay hands-on in ideation, production, editing, and optimization. Collaboration with editorial, social, and communications teams is required to surface impactful stories and deliver content that elevates the Optum brand and connects with key audiences. Primary Responsibilities
Lead, inspire, and oversee the social media video team to produce bold, creative content designed for digital and social channels Drive the creative direction for video storytelling across platforms (short-form TikTok edits, Instagram reels, YouTube shorts, long-form LinkedIn narratives, etc.) Stay ahead of platform trends, algorithms, and cultural moments, adapting content strategies to maximize engagement Collaborate with editorial, social, and communications partners to identify timely stories and deliver social-first video solutions Develop and execute creative strategies to increase reach, engagement, and share of voice across Optum's owned channels Partner with analytics teams to review performance metrics and apply insights to future content planning Champion accessibility, inclusivity, and brand standards while ensuring mobile and multi-platform optimization Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, balancing high-volume production with creative excellence Qualifications
8+ years of experience in social media content creation, video production, and digital storytelling 3+ years of experience managing creative or video teams Proven experience creating and leading social media-first video content across platforms with measurable engagement results Experience using analytics and performance data to inform creative direction Strong scripting, storyboarding, directing, editing, and adapting content to fit platform styles Fluency in current social media trends and algorithmic shifts, with ability to turn insights into opportunities Expertise with video production tools and editing platforms (Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) and familiarity with social publishing tools Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills with cross-functional partnership experience Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment while maintaining brand consistency Compensation and Benefits
Pay is based on factors including location, experience, and qualifications. Salary range for this role is $110,200 to $188,800 annually. Benefits include a comprehensive package, incentive programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contributions, subject to eligibility requirements.
