To lead several aspects of cash management, treasury, and debt management for the Company. Responsibilities
Lead the treasury function including cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization, manage bank operations and strategic bank relationships, ensure compliance with credit reporting requirements and optimize processes and procedures to improve compliance and effectiveness of treasury operations. Report to senior management and other internal stakeholders on current cash positions and anticipated changes to short-term cash flows. Work with all business units to develop cash targets and to manage banking partners, liquidity, and cash flow forecasting. Lead debt management responsibilities and monitor covenant compliance, and review related calculations and certificates, in accordance with debt agreement. Act as liaison to support key relationships, including with banks and financial institutions, and senior management. Support M&A activity related to treasury functions, due diligence, and treasury integration. Development and management of relationships with key internal and external partners, including financial institutions, sponsors, loan services, legal counsel, and others. Manage monthly funding requests under financing agreements, including associated documentation requirements. Oversee treasury operations, working with treasury analyst(s) on day-to-day activities including bank account openings and cash movements between internal entities and to third parties. Develop and maintain models used to determine target cash balance, liquidity target and capital sources. Develop and maintain credit analyst and rating agency models, assisting with relationship management. Build processes to efficiently monitor daily, quarterly and monthly cash forecast variances. Establish strong partnerships with FP&A, Accounting, Tax, and Operations teams to optimize the cash flow forecast and lead efforts to improve accuracy. Provide strategic guidance and prepare debt / cash projections for the executive team for budgeting, planning, acquisitions, and other capital market activity and for external stakeholders. Develop and maintain models used for forecasting cash at the community level, debt level, and Corporate level. Derive, document, and implement analyses related to interest rate risk and liquidity stress testing, including evaluation of strategy on interest rate cap purchase in a rising interest rate environment. Assist in senior leadership review of financial policy, debt capital market strategy, etc. Administer Yardi debt management software to track all debt, payments, amortization, etc. Identify and drive process improvements. Education And Experience
A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in treasury. Public company experience is a plus. Experience in multi-unit companies with M&A is a plus. CPA / CTP / MBA or other financial certifications preferred Skill/ Knowledge Requirements
