Overview
Partnership & Access Liaison (PAL), Neurological Rare Disease – Baltimore/DC & Virginia Ecosystems Join Genentech as a PAL to support patients and caregivers interested in Evrysdi and SMA, and those already prescribed Evrysdi. This field-based role provides reimbursement and educational assistance to patients and caregivers considering or undergoing therapy. You will build advocacy relationships, support the SMA community at events, and collaborate with patients, families, and physicians to address medication access barriers. You will work with internal teams to meet local territory needs and require knowledge of pharmaceutical reimbursement. Responsibilities
Provide education and ongoing support to patients and caregivers for Evrysdi, including product information, dosing and administration, reimbursement services, and other needed education Maintain regular contact with patients and respond to their specific requests Assist patients with insurance options and resolve logistical challenges with insurance and pharmacies Create awareness and educate through local advocacy and programming, including coordinating patient programs and education at conferences Respond promptly to patient and caregiver questions and concerns, providing resources to resolve issues while ensuring HIPAA compliance and patient privacy This is a field-based role covering Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia. Candidates in the general area are preferred. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required Clinical experience with patients required 5+ years of field-based experience in patient services/reimbursement/pharmaceuticals desired Experience directly supporting patients required Strong communication skills including public speaking and presentation experience Knowledge and adherence to HIPAA guidelines, FDA requirements, and internal Compliance guidelines Ability to collaborate with case managers and account managers, handle difficult patient cases, and respond promptly to prevent treatment lapses Reimbursement experience Preferred Qualifications
Registered Nurse preferred, not required Case management experience Orphan or Rare disease experience Bi-lingual English/Spanish highly preferred Account management/institutional experience Other Details
Relocation benefits are not available for this role Overnight travel may be required (approximately 30% travel); driving a company or personal vehicle may be required Expected salary range in primary location Maryland/DC/Virginia: $136,000-$253,000. Actual pay determined by experience, qualifications, location, and other factors. A discretionary annual bonus may be available.
