Implement robust qualification and onboarding processes to ensure technical, quality, and capacity requirements.

Category Management

Lead should-cost analysis and benchmarking to drive competitive advantage.

Align sourcing plans with engineering, manufacturing, and operations stakeholders.

Negotiation & Contracting

Lead negotiations for pricing, terms, and long-term agreements.

Mitigate risks through commercial agreements, including intellectual property protection, tooling ownership, and service-level expectations.

Cross-functional Leadership

Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and operations to define technical requirements and supplier specifications.

Serve as sourcing lead in NPI (New Product Introduction) and production ramp-up projects.

Continuous Improvement & Risk Management

Identify opportunities for cost reduction, lead time improvement, and quality enhancements.

Develop and maintain supplier scorecards and performance improvement plans.

Monitor supply chain risk and implement mitigation strategies (e.g., dual sourcing, regional diversification).

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Materials, Industrial), Supply Chain, Business, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).

10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, supplier development, or procurement in a manufacturing environment.

Proven expertise in metal fabrication, welding, harness assemblies, and overmolding processes.

Experience sourcing custom production equipment/tooling for high-volume manufacturing.

Strong negotiation skills and experience with global materials and equipment suppliers, including in low-cost regions.

Familiarity with quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001), PPAP, APQP, or similar processes.

Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.

Managed and led a sourcing team.

Excellent project management and cross-functional communication skills.

Preferred Certifications

Renewable energy or solar PV industry experience.

Experience with ERP and sourcing systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa).
