Overview
Director of Marketing and Admissions (DOMA) at Majestic Care of South Bend. The DOMA manages the community inquiry and admission process and provides customers with community-related information via tours, personal visits/assessments, conversations, and follow-up. Respond to inquiry calls from hospital discharge planners, families, and other referral sources. Conduct community tours. Manage the admission process by maintaining updated bed availability and community services information at all times. Manage the inquiry process professionally, timely, and with appropriate follow-up. Effectively manage occupancy levels and census/premium mix enhancement. Make calls to external professionals, senior organizations, hospital discharge planners, and other community contacts, as needed. Develop and maintain relationships to advise referral sources of bed availability and new products and services. Maintain current database of existing and potential referral sources. Utilize company’s sales practices and sales tracking tools. Notify appropriate department heads and staff of projected changes (admissions, bed changes, discharges) through daily admission meetings. Utilize bed management principles. Maintain a close working relationship with the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) and the Business Office Manager (BOM) to assure appropriate and efficient decisions about prospective admissions. Recommend admission decisions to community management. Coordinate the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans, chair marketing team meetings, monitor budgets, and track results. Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulations and reimbursement guidelines (Medicare and Medicaid). Qualifications
Associate and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Communications field preferred. Two years of experience in a sales/marketing position or Admissions Coordinator position in lieu of degree. Previous healthcare community relations experience preferred. Majestic Difference Benefits
