Job Title: Senior Business Analyst (MITA Framework) Work Location: Austin, TX Hybrid (Onsite + Telework, Local Austin candidates only). Interview Type: Microsoft Teams Responsibilities
Digital Transformation: Lead and contribute to enterprise-level modernization initiatives, identifying opportunities for innovation and designing future-state business capabilities. Business Process Reengineering (BPR): Analyze current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, design future-state models, and lead implementation for measurable efficiency gains. Strategic Business Modeling: Develop and maintain business architecture artifacts (BPMN, UML, ArchiMate, value streams, capability models). Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior leadership, IT, and external partners to elicit and document business requirements. Bridge Business & IT: Act as liaison to align technical solutions with business needs, translating complex requirements for cross-functional teams. Change Management: Support organizational change initiatives with strong communication and analytical skills. Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years in a Business Architect or similar strategic capacity focusing on enterprise initiatives; proven track record in digital transformation and BPR with measurable outcomes. MITA: Demonstrable expertise with MITA (including State Self-Assessments). Modeling & Architecture: Expert in business modeling (BPMN, UML, ArchiMate) and enterprise architecture frameworks. Skills: Superior analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities; excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders; strong negotiation, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred). Delivery: Demonstrated success working with technical and non-technical groups on business process improvements. Preferences: Hands-on experience with HHS eligibility systems (Medicaid, SNAP, TANF, CHIP); government or public sector project experience; relevant certifications (CBAP, TOGAF, BPMN, Lean Six Sigma); familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies.
