Redstone Commodity Search is working with a leading international soft commodities trading company seeking to hire a
Physical Coffee Trader
to expand their commercial activities in North America and global markets. Responsibilities
Develop and execute trading strategies for physical coffee (Green, Arabica, Robusta, and specialty grades) with full P&L accountability. Originate, negotiate, and manage physical coffee contracts with producers, exporters, importers, and roasters across North America, Latin America, and global markets. Build and maintain strong supplier and customer relationships to drive trading flows and increase market share. Bring and onboard a portfolio of active clients — including roasters, importers, and distributors — into our platform. Monitor coffee market dynamics, futures markets, freight, and currency exposure to identify profitable opportunities. Collaborate with logistics, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless contract execution and compliance with internal and external requirements. Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in
physical coffee trading , with a proven track record of commercial success. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or related field. Strong knowledge of coffee supply chains, quality control, certification processes, and pricing structures. Established network of contacts with producers, exporters, and roasters, ideally across both North and Latin America. Experience managing risk through hedging strategies and understanding of ICE futures and options. Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, performance-driven environment. Details
