Responsible for all aspects of the Stores' operations. Leads the entire operation of the Store to ensure that Company standards and best practices are consistently met. Staffs, trains and develops leadership to deliver the desired sales and profit results, while maintaining a friendly, easy-to-shop environment. Recruits, trains and develops Associates. Manages the operations of the Stockroom, Front End, and Sales Floor to ensure new merchandise reaches the sales floor timely, goods are received properly, and expenses are managed through best practices and productivity. Essential Functions

General Operating Requirements: Leads all Company Best Practices and maximizes productivity by minimizing steps and touches. Analyzes Store reports to evaluate controllable expenses and overall Store performance. Addresses variances to Company standards with appropriate action plans, partnering with the District Manager as needed. Ensures proper scheduling of Associates to meet business objectives. Accepts special assignments as directed by Leadership. Responsible for payroll administration including daily punch edits, scheduling compliance, and payroll reporting as needed. Organizational Development: Recruits, hires, trains and develops Assistant Managers, Area Supervisors and non-exempt Associates. Strives to reduce Store turnover using retention tools including incentive programs and training; ensures required trainings are completed timely. Addresses personnel and performance issues including coaching, warnings, progressive discipline and termination when needed. Ensures compliance with Ross policies and procedures; manages Associate relations issues with District Manager input; complies with all regulations. Expense Control: Leads expenditures within budget; controls payroll hours as a primary controllable expense. Maintaining a Safe & Secure Environment: Maintains adherence to safety policies and ensures the safety of Associates and Customers; understands emergency procedures. Customer Service: Treats customers and Associates with respect; demonstrates courtesy and professionalism; coaches staff in customer service programs. Executes customer service and merchandise presentation programs through training and supervision. Supervises and coaches Associates in providing efficient service across registers, service desks, fitting rooms, and the sales floor. Personal And Store Brand: Models professional appearance per Dress Code; represents the Company brand; maintains a clean, easy-to-shop store environment. Merchandise Processing and In-Store Marketing: Ensures recovery, sizing, and markdowns meet standards; presents merchandise per guidelines; expedites merchandise to the floor. Loss Prevention: Trains Associates on Loss Prevention programs; safeguards confidential information and merchandise; leads annual inventory; monitors stock policies. Competencies: Manages Work Processes Business Acumen Plans, Aligns & Prioritizes Builds Talent Collaborates Leading by Example Communicates Effectively Ensures Accountability & Execution Qualifications And Special Skills Required: Five or more years of Store management experience in a retail environment. High level of Customer service. Ability to lead, manage, motivate and communicate positively to Store Associates at all levels. Ability to train, coach and develop Associates at all levels. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks; develop schedules and execute to achieve results. Fluency in English. Independent judgment and discretion. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Physical Requirements Ability to use store equipment; stand, walk and move around the store up to 100% of working time; bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach and stoop; push/pull and lift more than 25 lbs occasionally; use janitorial equipment and ladders; perform basic retail math. Supervisory Responsibilities Direct supervision of Assistant Store Manager, Area Supervisors and all Retail Associates.
