Overview
The Territory Sales Manager is a full-time, exempt, remote position at BPS Bioscience Inc. The Territory Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and expanding customer accounts within the assigned territory, while adhering to company policies and procedures. The role uses market analysis data and customer knowledge to develop and implement sales strategies and to ensure customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
Build and maintain a network of sources to identify new sales leads. Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities in the biotech and life sciences sectors within the assigned territory. Negotiate and close sales opportunities. Communicate with customers to understand their product or service needs and recommend appropriate solutions. Demonstrate product functions and utility tailored to customer needs. Maintain and grow existing accounts through regular follow-ups, customer service, and relationship management to ensure repeat business; document activities in CRM tools. Conduct in-person visits with prospective and existing clients to present the product portfolio to C-suite executives, researchers, lab managers, and procurement teams. Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolve post-sale issues promptly. Collaborate with internal technical specialists and product managers to address complex client needs and ensure satisfaction. Maintain communication with existing and previous customers to inform them of new products, services, and enhancements. Maintain detailed records of sales activities and track interactions using CRM tools. Provide periodic and accurate territory sales forecasts and reports. Attend scientific conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote brand awareness and generate leads. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide territory coverage during absences and ensure uninterrupted customer support. Demonstrate professionalism, resilience, and a positive attitude in all interactions. Support the development of junior or new sales territory managers through coaching, shadowing, and feedback. Encourage knowledge sharing and teamwork to drive collective success. Provide insights from the field to help shape product development and service enhancements. Provide mentorship and training for other department members where applicable. Manage the performance of direct reports if applicable. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related scientific field (preferred), or a degree in Business. Minimum of 7+ years of relevant sales or industry experience. Proven sales and negotiation skills with a results-driven approach. Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities. Ability to thrive in a high-paced, client-facing environment. Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy in documentation and communication. Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms. Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory. Benefits
