Provide ethical and consistent leadership in the hotel’s financial area, offering guidance, training, and support to management to focus on profitability and accurate, timely financial reporting. Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations; safeguard owners/investors assets. Evaluate the financial impact of business decisions and communicate cash flow-related issues to management and ownership, including cash-flow statements, receivables, cash balances, control mechanisms, and timely deposits. Monitor revenues and expenses, ensure accurate recording per Crescent standards, investigate variances, and offer practical improvement strategies. Oversee capital planning, assist with ROI calculations for improvements, monitor bids, and evaluate scope and specifications. Ensure regulatory licenses, permits, leases, contracts, and taxes are compliant and properly executed; support management in enforcement. Coordinate forecasts and budgets with active participation of the management team. Analyze financial data to advise management on maintaining financial objectives. Ensure balance sheet accounts and bank reconciliations are reconciled timely; establish and audit internal financial controls (purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, payroll, inventories, assets, and records). Hire, train, supervise, and develop staff; drive training and development programs for finance associates. Maintain compliance with Crescent standards and IT systems; prepare financial reports per CHR requirements and deadlines; review Daily Revenue Reports and labor variance. Monitor cash deposits, credit card transmissions, and departmental spending; ensure adequate cash for obligations; reconcile with backup documentation. Review forecasts with Department Heads prior to submission and participate in monthly credit meetings. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications
A minimum of four years of experience as a Hotel Director of Finance. Strong knowledge and accuracy in P&L, forecast accuracy, budgeting, cash management, and financial management that meets owner expectations. Prior experience with Hilton systems is preferred. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office. Self-starting personality with an even disposition and strong communication skills. Ability to exercise judgment in evaluating situations and making sound decisions. Equal Opportunity
