About the Role
The Vice President of Logistics is a senior executive responsible for the strategic direction and operational oversight of o5 group’s global transportation, distribution and supply chain network. This role leads freight movement, 3PL warehousing, wholesale distribution, and customer fulfillment to ensure cost-effective, efficient, and timely delivery of products to customers and retail partners. The VP collaborates cross-functionally to align operations with overall business strategy, enhance customer experience, and drive continuous improvement. What You’ll Contribute
Develop and execute a long-term distribution, transportation, logistics, and operations strategy aligned with o5 group’s business growth, sales, and customer experience goals. Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team across distribution, transportation, logistics, and operations, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, providing insights on supply chain trends, risks, and performance metrics. Oversee all distribution centers in US & Canada, domestic and international freight movements (ocean, air, ground). Manage and optimize carrier and vendor relationships, negotiating contracts to ensure favorable terms and adherence to service-level agreements. Drive cost-reduction initiatives across transportation and operations by analyzing data, assessing market dynamics, and implementing process improvements. Oversee wholesale distribution strategy to ensure seamless order fulfillment and alignment with retailer requirements. Collaborate with supply chain, warehouse, and finance teams to manage the distribution network, including 3PL providers on the east & west coasts. Shape inventory management and distribution strategies to balance capacity planning, margin improvement, and on-time product availability. Partner with sales and customer service teams to improve OTIF (on-time-in-full) performance, strengthen retailer relationships, and enhance the customer experience. Leverage and implement advanced logistics technologies such as WMS, ERP, and automation to improve visibility, forecasting, and decision-making. Define, track, and report on KPIs to measure supply chain effectiveness and drive accountability across teams. Ensure compliance with governmental and industry regulations across all operations. Develop and maintain contingency plans and risk-mitigation strategies to safeguard against supply chain disruptions. Lead large-scale transformation initiatives including ERP implementations, outsourcing/nearshoring strategies, and process improvement programs. What You Bring to the Team
15+ years of progressive supply chain management – logistics, distribution, operations experience, with at least 7+ years in senior leadership roles. Proven success managing global distribution networks and multimodal freight operations, including wholesale and retail fulfillment. Expertise in contract negotiation, supply chain analytics, budgeting, and vendor/3PL management. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, understanding P&L impact, and evaluating ROI on operational investments. Proficiency with Transportation/WMS/ERP platforms and advanced analytics tools. Track record of leading transformation initiatives (ERP, automation, outsourcing/nearshoring) to drive scalability and efficiency. Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills with the ability to influence at the executive level.
