Reed Construction . We are seeking a Traveling Construction Superintendent with a minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial construction, a passion for precision, and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
Lead with Vision: Command a dynamic on-site environment, ensuring all work reflects the high standards Reed Construction is known for. Foster positive morale and robust teamwork among project staff and subcontractors.
Master of Details: Maintain project specifications, actively manage site drawings, addenda, and compliance to uphold our track record of excellence. Escalate issues directly to project management swiftly and effectively.
Central Point of Contact: Coordinate with project managers, architects, and stakeholders, ensuring all voices are heard and integrated into project strategy.
Organize and Oversee: Manage subcontractor activities, ensure seamless operations and workmanship. Source new partners and maintain strong relationships.
Safety Champion: Guarantee site safety, lead OSHA inspections, coordinate safety seminars, and uphold rigorous standards to keep the team and the public safe.
Tech-Savvy Communicator: Use project management software to keep everyone informed and support data-driven decisions to meet milestones with precision.
Ambassador of Reed: Maintain exemplary professional relationships with project participants and the community, handling interactions with courtesy and professionalism.
Travel: Travel is required. Must be able to travel 100% outside the Chicagoland area and/or out-of-state to perform on-site duties.
Qualifications
Experienced Leader: At least 8 years in a superintendent role with a history of managing large-scale projects.
Quality-Focused: Strives for excellence and seeks to deliver high-quality results.
Decisive and Driven: Capable of managing multiple priorities and adapting to changes quickly.
Communicative and Collaborative: Strong verbal and written communication; thorough documentation skills.
Tech-Proficient: Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with project management tools such as Procore, On-Screen Takeoff, and PM Web is a plus.
Travel Ready: Ability to travel 100% as required.

Salary Salary Range - $100,000 - $160,000 per year
