Legal Billing Specialist

The Legal Billing Specialist will oversee the full billing cycle - from prebill review through invoice submission - ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. This individual will work closely with attorneys, clients, and internal departments to deliver high-quality financial support across complex client portfolios. Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and edit prebills using firm billing systems. Generate and finalize a high volume of invoices while maintaining compliance with client billing guidelines. Submit e-bills via designated portals and monitor invoice status. Research and resolve billing rejections or reductions; process appeals where appropriate. Prepare and maintain accurate billing reports and documentation. Collaborate cross-functionally with attorneys, finance, and client service teams to ensure efficient billing operations. Support ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3 years of law-firm billing experience required. Advanced proficiency with
Aderant ,
Elite 3E , or similar billing software preferred. Experience with e-billing platforms (eBillingHub, BillBlast, etc.) a strong plus. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment. Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical abilities.
