We are building a strong team of skilled engineers for our Claims Technology team to deliver high-performance, low-latency platforms and applications. The Senior Java Engineer is a key member of the engineering staff, working across the organization to provide a friction-less experience for customers while maintaining high standards of protection and availability. The role requires broad and deep technical knowledge across the software stack. Responsibilities
Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems Define product scope and drive toward the right technical solution Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the software lifecycle Work in a team environment utilizing AI and ML to streamline contact center operations Lead design sessions and code reviews to elevate engineering quality Define, create, and support reusable components and patterns Utilize developer tooling and Azure services across the SDLC for Java application design, implementation, and maintenance Mentor other engineers and share best practices Qualifications
Advanced programming experience with at least two modern languages (e.g., Java, C++, Python, C#) Proficient with AI/ML stacks and experience shipping applied AI products Understanding of microservices architecture and REST APIs Experience designing and architecting systems for reliability and scalability Strong DevOps and cloud architecture knowledge Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of development tooling across the SDLC In-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms Experience
4+ years of software development within a Java framework 3+ years of applied AI/ML experience 3+ years of architecture and design experience 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or other cloud services 2+ years with open-source frameworks Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education/experience Additional information
An annual salary range of $105,000.00 - $215,000.00. The range is a general guideline; final offers consider experience, education, location, and market factors.
