About the Role: The Master Material Planner Prolink plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials within the manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate material plans that align with production schedules and customer demand, thereby minimizing inventory costs and avoiding production delays. The role requires close collaboration with procurement, production, and logistics teams to optimize supply chain efficiency and respond proactively to any supply disruptions. The Master Material Planner will leverage advanced planning tools and data analysis to forecast material requirements and adjust plans dynamically. Ultimately, this position ensures that the manufacturing process operates smoothly, supporting the company’s commitment to timely delivery and high-quality product output. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in material planning or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using Prolink or similar material planning software. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and production scheduling. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in non-durable goods manufacturing industry. Certification in APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or equivalent. Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. Advanced Excel skills including data analysis and reporting. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain master material plans using Prolink software to support production schedules and customer demand. Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components. Monitor inventory levels and adjust material plans to optimize stock levels and reduce excess inventory. Collaborate with production and logistics teams to address any supply chain issues and implement corrective actions. Analyze demand forecasts and historical data to anticipate material requirements and mitigate risks of shortages or overstock. Generate and communicate regular reports on material planning status, inventory levels, and supply chain performance. Continuously improve planning processes and tools to enhance accuracy and responsiveness. Skills: The required skills are applied daily to analyze production schedules and material requirements, ensuring that the supply chain operates without interruption. Proficiency in Prolink software enables the planner to create accurate and dynamic material plans that respond to changing demand and supply conditions. Strong analytical skills are essential for interpreting data, forecasting needs, and identifying potential risks or inefficiencies in the supply chain. Communication and collaboration skills are used to coordinate effectively with procurement, production, and logistics teams, facilitating timely problem resolution. Preferred skills such as ERP system knowledge and advanced Excel capabilities enhance the planner’s ability to integrate data from multiple sources and generate insightful reports that support strategic decision-making.
