Schedule Details/Additional Information:
Hours: Combination of 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and 11:30am - 8:00pm, 2 - 3 shifts during the week, every other weekend and rotating holidays.
Pay Range $18.50 - $27.75
Major Responsibilities:
Receives diet changes throughout the day, i.e. diet orders, patient admissions, cancellations, transfers, special physician or dietitian orders such as tube feedings and supplements, requests for late trays and diet instructions. Checks menus for completeness and accuracy; refers problems to the Dietitian. Answers room service phone and obtains meal selections from patients based on current diet order. Prints off tube feedings and nourishment labels; checks labels for accuracy. Maintains department files. Enters all supplements, tube feedings, snacks, other food allergies and patient preferences into the card file. Accurately performs duties or answers questions regarding dietary procedures, nutrition services procedures, write-ins, foods allowed on all modified diets, guest tray procedures, isolation procedures etc. Prepares food production reports. Prints off missed meals and tray counts. Inventories and orders supplies/forms or communicates need for supplies to the Manager, Supervisor or Lead. Operates a cash register and completes cash handling functions. Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Good customer service and communication skills. Good organizational and time management skills. Basic computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, and Word) or similar products.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Must be able to walk and stand the majority of the workday. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. occasionally. Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and the ability to read, write, and perform basic math. May be required to enter isolation rooms, therefore personal protective equipment must be worn as necessary. Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job. Exposed to a normal office environment.
