Senior Software Engineering Program Manager, Block Hardware. The Hardware team develops and supports a portfolio of products across Square, Proto, Bitkey, and Cash App Card, solving problems customers face daily and building the future of money and commerce. The role oversees the development and delivery of software projects, aligns cross‑functional teams, manages timelines, and ensures successful deployment of software solutions that support our mission. You Will

Be the central hub bringing together teams from Software, Hardware, Product, Design, Operations, and Manufacturing to deliver groundbreaking new products. Lead strategy and execution from concept to launch and oversee multiple parallel initiatives. Partner with cross‑functional teams to design, define, schedule, track, and help lead the work for exciting new products. Translate complex, ambiguous problems into simple, actionable solutions to unblock teams and support progress. Ensure teams are on track, facilitate decision‑making, resolve blockers, and surface challenges by gleaning early signals. Drive transparency by acting as the point of contact for programs, streamline communications, and provide regular updates to cross‑functional partners and leadership. Balance urgency and priority while moving the needle on programs; manage expectations for all stakeholders and earn trust of partners and teams. Lead by inspiring, developing, and challenging the status quo, modeling excellence. Identify opportunities to apply AI and AI workflows to automate program management and engineering tasks. You Have

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; Master's degree preferred. 10+ years of industry experience in software development or program management within a hardware development environment. Strong engineering/technical background with experience in embedded systems, Android/AOSP, AI‑related models, software development and build tools, and hardware‑software interfaces. Experience leading technically complex software projects for new product introductions (NPI). Proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, and risk management. Ability to set a vision, navigate blockers, and simplify complexity for self and others. Ability to travel to Contract Manufacturing vendor sites for build milestones. Additional Information

U.S. locations are categorized into Zone A–D for pay ranges based on labor cost indices. Starting pay is determined by job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Zone ranges may be modified in the future: Zone A: $198,000—$297,000 Zone B: $188,100—$282,100 Zone C: $178,200—$267,400 Zone D: $168,300—$252,500 Location zone designations and more information can be found through the company recruiter or specified resources.
