Senior Software Engineer position at Red Hat in Raleigh, NC. The Red Hat OpenStack engineering team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join us in Raleigh NC. In this role, you will contribute to feature development, defect fixing, sprint planning and process improvement for the Shift On Stack product (OpenShift on OpenStack). As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of a geographically distributed team, collaborating across functions. You should have a passion for modern open source development, an interest in containerization/virtualization technologies, and a desire to apply broad software engineering skills to product development. Become a significant contributor to the components of Shift On Stack (ranging from platform support pieces inside the Red Hat OpenShift installer to Operators for provisioning resources in Red Hat OpenStack Platform). Contribute to the regular delivery cadence of Shift On Stack. Work with Red Hat OpenShift teams to shepherd code changes through their processes. Contribute to testing of enhancements to Shift On Stack. Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies relevant to software development, proactively identifying opportunities to incorporate new AI capabilities into workflows and tooling. Go development skills are required. Passion for open source software development. Deep understanding of cloud computing and container management; OpenShift/Kubernetes experience is a must. Ability to work in a distributed team environment. Experience using, developing, or administering Red Hat OpenStack Platform and/or Red Hat OpenShift environments is a plus. Salary range: $116,270.00 - $191,840.00. Actual offer will be based on qualifications. Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity.
