  • Other details: The facility is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours only. There are an average of 4-6 patients per shift. The position is for a Primary Care PA-C or ARNP in an inpatient psychiatry setting, working 0.6 FTE (24 hours weekly). The schedule includes 4.8 hours per day on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 9.6 hours on Wednesday, covering one floor on T/Th/F and two floors on Wednesday. The provider should be comfortable working in an inpatient psychiatric unit with manageable patient volume and minimal procedures, primarily focusing on outpatient-level primary care needs. Responsibilities include performing routine history and physicals for new admissions, managing acute and chronic medical conditions, participating in interdisciplinary treatment planning, consulting with psychiatric providers on co-occurring conditions, prescribing and monitoring medications, ordering and interpreting lab tests, managing substance withdrawal when necessary, and maintaining accurate documentation. Additional duties include implementing antimicrobial stewardship practices and other related tasks as assigned. Requirements include a current Washington State ARNP or PA-C license, DEA, NPI, and prescriptive authority, along with current BLS certification. Experience in family practice, geriatrics, and young adult populations is required, with preferred experience in caring for mentally ill patients. Familiarity with relevant regulations and professional standards and the ability to provide care for patients with multiple medical and psychiatric conditions are also essential.
