Call: General Call, 1 weekday, 1 weekend shift-8 hours.

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room nurse, preferably with 3-4 years of urology experience, to serve as a clinical expert in delivering and managing comprehensive patient care. This role involves utilizing research and evidence-based practices to expertly care for patients with complex diagnoses across multiple services and specialties. Minimum Qualifications Education:

Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing; Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred. Licenses/Certifications: Current Texas State license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing. Certified in Basic Life Support. Additional certifications may be required based on specific discipline and/or nursing unit requirements. Experience / Knowledge / Skills: A minimum of 10 years of nursing experience in the area of urology specialty. Principal Accountabilities Plan, coordinate, and direct all activities with the interdisciplinary team to enhance departmental throughput and achieve positive patient outcomes. Assign daily tasks to personnel based on their skills and the needs of the patient population;Resourceful in problem resolution and effective collaboration with other clinical coordinators. Act as a liaison with departmental staff, medical personnel, patients, and families; assist in resolving patient care issues and concerns; conduct daily leadership rounds. Use critical thinking and clinical judgment to autonomously address issues, escalating to nursing leadership as needed. Facilitate resolution of patient-related problems, ensuring effective service recovery. Provide mentorship and coaching to assigned staff and contribute to their annual performance evaluations. Engage in ongoing evaluation of programs and processes, focusing on improvement and client-centered outcomes. Consider the diverse needs of all patients throughout their care continuum to optimize their experience. Comply with all regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards. Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors while adhering to Memorial Hermann policies and budgetary guidelines. Promote professional growth and development by meeting educational and skills competency requirements; support departmental goals contributing to overall organizational success as a preceptor and mentor for less experienced staff. Demonstrate commitment to compassionate care for every community member, modeling Memorial Hermann's service standards to ensure safe, caring, personalized, and efficient patient and colleague experiences.
