Description POSITION SUMMARY:

Join our team as a Sanitation Worker, where your efforts will be critical in maintaining a clean and safe environment. You will be responsible for the sanitation of various areas, including offices, restrooms, locker rooms, break rooms, and other critical areas in the facility. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Adhere to all environmental, health, safety, food safety, and quality standards, ensuring legal compliance and facility regulations. Complete required training and certifications for position qualification. Restock sanitary supplies such as soap, tissue, seat covers, and coffee in designated areas. Operate cleaning equipment, including walk-behind and ride-on scrubbers. Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and wiping surfaces. Maintain cleanliness by emptying trash bins in bathrooms, offices, and break rooms. Ensure thorough cleaning under racks, in freezer and production supply areas. Document completed work to meet supervisory requirements. Carry out additional duties as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and correspondence. Ability to write simple correspondence. Communicate effectively in one-on-one or small group settings. Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division related to production tasks. Utilize measurement units for weight, volume, and distance. PHYSICAL AND VISUAL ACTIVITIES: Engage in bending, reaching, and gripping during cleaning activities. Lift and manage bags of trash as required. Prepare cleaning solutions for sanitation tasks. Visually differentiate between colors and items at various distances. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Stand or walk for over 7 hours daily. Frequently squat, bend, reach, and coordinate hand and eye motions while cleaning. Lift up to 5 lbs frequently and occasionally 25 lbs. Coordination skills needed for operating cleaning equipment safely. ENVIRONMENTAL/ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS: Work with cleaning chemicals that may be toxic or caustic. Regularly encounter damp, humid, or slippery environments. Work near moving equipment and in areas with potential fumes or airborne debris. Experience temperature extremes and occasionally work at heights. Exposure to high noise levels requiring hearing protection. MACHINES/TOOLS/EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE: Use safety equipment such as bump caps, hair nets, safety glasses, and uniforms. Handle cleaning tools including mops, buckets, and vacuums. Utilize disposables such as trash bags and containers.
