Job Overview: The STNA plays a crucial role in providing compassionate direct patient care for Hospice patients under the guidance of registered nurses. This includes assisting with daily living activities such as bathing and feeding, and offering emotional support, particularly during challenging times. Adherence to safety policies and procedures is essential in this role. Job Requirements: Completed 2 years of High School Education in General Studies Must be at least 17 years old with a work permit Successful completion of Home Health Aide competency skills checklist as per Medicare regulations during orientation, including Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) STNA Certification OR Completion of Nursing Student Clinical Training is required; applicants interested in completing STNA program upon hire may be considered Experience in clinical and customer service settings Job Responsibilities: Provide basic patient care tasks under nursing supervision, including bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance, while ensuring a supportive environment Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the interdisciplinary care team Maintain cleanliness in patients' living areas and perform equipment-related quality checks Restock supplies as needed and report any inconsistencies or issues Comply with documentation requirements to accurately reflect clinical interactions and patient conditions, demonstrating proficiency with necessary technology Working Conditions: Climbing - Occasionally Concentration - Consistently Continuous Learning - Consistently Communication Skills - Consistently Physical Demands including lifting (50+ lbs) and other manual tasks TriHealth SERVE Standards and ALWAYS Behaviors: All team members are expected to embody the SERVE principles by: Serve:
