Heavy Civil Construction Cost Estimator
plays a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for developing precise and competitive cost estimates. Collaborating closely with our team, the Estimator will ensure comprehensive bid take-offs for successful submissions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare and manage construction documents, collaborating with design and management teams. Generate Rough Order of Magnitude and budgetary estimates during the conceptual or preliminary design phases. Engage with regulatory authorities and stakeholders as necessary. Identify and resolve conflicts or discrepancies in bid documents prior to estimation or submission. Oversee and organize bid documents and estimate information throughout the estimating process. Maintain meticulous and accurate records and files. Secure competitive pricing from Vendors and Subcontractors to support cost estimates. Ensure all estimates are precise, clear, and well-structured. Collaborate with team members to review cost estimates. Assist in preparing budgets upon contract award. Analyze drawings to guarantee accurate documentation. Define project scope and objectives clearly. Assess and predict resources required to achieve objectives. Monitor bid opportunities via relevant platforms to identify upcoming projects. REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS At least 3 years of experience in cost estimation for Marine Projects. Proficient in project scheduling, estimating, and control software (e.g., Primavera P6, Heavy Bid, Heavy Job). Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong organizational skills and project management capabilities. Detail-oriented mindset. Excellent communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
