We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join a growing team in Cleveland, Ohio. This role involves managing various accounting and administrative tasks to ensure smooth financial operations and accurate record-keeping. - Cash Receipts Management: Prepare deposits, record transactions in the accounting system, and generate daily bank account reports.
- Credit Card Reconciliation: Verify daily credit card transactions for accuracy.
- Payment Applications: Apply payments to invoices and maintain organized records.
- Accounts Payable Tasks: Complete data entry and provide backup support for weekly check processing.
- Contribution Reconciliation: Process and reconcile contributions and related transactions.
- General Ledger Matching: Align general ledger activities with reports or external databases for accuracy.
- Audit Support: Assist with preparing workpapers and documentation for annual audits.
- Administrative Assistance: Help Finance managers with office supply orders and equipment maintenance.
• Associate's degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting-related position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with financial database systems such as GP Dynamics.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
