We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Healthcare Construction Superintendent to lead our on-site teams. About the Role

The Healthcare Construction Superintendent is the on-site leader responsible for the day-to-day operations of our construction projects. You'll manage everything from scheduling and logistics to quality control and safety. This is a hands-on role that requires exceptional leadership, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and regulations of building in a live, operational healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all on-site construction activities , ensuring projects adhere to all plans, specifications, and regulatory standards.
• Manage project schedules, material orders, and subcontractor activities to prevent delays and maintain project timelines.
• Enforce and promote a culture of safety , including strict adherence to OSHA regulations and healthcare-specific protocols, such as infection control risk assessments (ICRA).
• Act as the primary point of contact for on-site personnel, subcontractors, and vendors, facilitating clear and timely communication.
• Conduct regular on-site inspections to ensure quality standards and project specifications are met.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and hospital staff to resolve issues and ensure project alignment.
• Document and report on project progress, risks, and any on-site incidents.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a superintendent, with at least 2 years specifically in healthcare construction (e.g., hospitals, clinics, labs).
• Extensive knowledge of healthcare construction codes, regulations (e.g., Joint Commission, AHJ), and standards.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and subcontractors.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification is required.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project).
