The HR Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the full range of Human Resources functions for the Kansas City site. This role combines strategic and hands-on HR responsibilities, ensuring alignment between HR practices and business objectives. The HR Manager will act as a trusted partner to leadership and employees, supervising an Office and HR Coordinator, and will contribute to the definition and execution of HR strategy across the North America organization.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & strategic support
· Act as the primary HR leader for the Kansas City site, supporting managers and employees across all HR-related matters.
· Work closely with the North America HR team to align site-level HR initiatives with broader organizational goals.
· Provide coaching and guidance to managers in areas such as leadership, employee development, and people management.
Talent management & Workforce Development
· Lead talent management initiatives to ensure the site has the right skills and capabilities to meet business objectives.
· Oversee employee performance management, including feedback, goal setting, and development planning.
· Handle complex employee relations cases, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions when required.
HR Policies, Compliance & Culture
· Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and workplace standards.
· Promote a consistent and fair application of HR practices across the site.
· Contribute to building and maintaining a positive workplace culture that reflects the company’s values.
Recruitment, Onboarding & Employer Branding
· Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for site positions (candidate selection, interviews, and hiring)
· Oversee and improve the onboarding process to ensure successful integration of new hires.

· Support employer branding initiatives, including job fairs, school partnerships, and community engagement.
Payroll, Benefits & HR Administration
· Supervise and support the HR Coordinator responsible for payroll and day-to-day HR administration.
· Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, benefits administration, and related employee services
HR Projects & Initiatives
· Lead or participate in HR projects (compensation reviews, engagement surveys, policy rollouts, DE&I initiatives, etc.).
· Collaborate with the HR leadership team on defining HR strategy and objectives to support the company’s overall strategy.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of HR experience.
· Broad knowledge of HR functions including talent management, employee relations, recruitment, compensation, benefits, and compliance.
· Solid understanding of U.S. federal and state employment laws and regulations.
· Proven ability to coach and support managers on employee performance, development, and workplace issues.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and influence at all organizational levels.
· Proficiency with MS Office Suite and familiarity with HRIS systems (UKG an asset).
