Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Registered Nurse) – Tennessee or compact state

Current BLS and ACLS certifications (must complete all ALC modules)

Minimum 1 year of recent cardiac stepdown, telemetry, or progressive care nursing experience

Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

Permanent residence must be more than 50 miles from facility

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Provide total patient care for cardiac stepdown patients recovering from cardiac events

Monitor, assess, and document patient status using Cerner EMR

Administer medications and cardiac treatments as prescribed

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes

Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
