Weekend Coverage:
Every other weekend required
Holiday Coverage:
Must work major holidays as scheduled (one holiday off permitted)
Estimated Weekly Pay:
$1,790 – $1,920
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (medical surgical telemetry nursing)
Active Maryland or Compact RN license (valid at time of submission)
BLS and NIHSS certifications required (AHA only); ACLS preferred
Proficiency with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system
Community hospital nursing experience required
Ability to float within hospital as needed
Two professional references (one supervisor/manager and one charge RN)
Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (travel nurse requirement)
RN Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a 42-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit
Manage patient ratios of 1:5 during night and weekend shifts
Administer blood products, manage central lines, chest tubes, and feeding tubes
Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, oxygen therapy, and high-flow nasal cannula
Initiate and maintain IVs, perform peripheral line care, and administer medications
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services
Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EHR
Follow isolation precautions and infection control protocols
Float to other nursing units within scope of experience as needed
