Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Tennessee or compact state)

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM

Ability to float to other hospital units as needed (travel nurses float first)

Experience with CPN and Meditach documentation systems preferred

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care to laboring mothers and newborns

Circulate and recover C-section patients

Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, unit secretaries, and OR techs

Participate in shared decision-making to enhance patient experience

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Work three 12-hour shifts per week, including three weekend shifts and one call shift during the assignment
