RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. 750 referral bonus available.
RN - Med Surg Work on 36-bed medical surgical unit with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 • Complete 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week block scheduling requirement • Work with basic equipment including PD Cyclers, Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lift, Broda Chairs, and Alaris IV Pumps • Document using Meditech system • Perform basic patient assessments and provide general care for wounds, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, strokes, and seizures • Manage patients requiring dialysis or PCA pumps with Heparin as the only drip medication • Handle post-op procedures including amputations, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs • Conduct bedside shift reports and safety checks every 1-2 hours with focus on communication and responsiveness • Follow HAI prevention protocols including CVC and Foley monitoring with standard precautions • Implement fall prevention measures and maintain 100% medication scanning including controlled substances • Facility: This medical center is a comprehensive healthcare facility that provides a wide range of medical services to the community.
