Inventory Control Associate (Cherry Picker Operator)
Job Summary: The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels through daily cycle counts, audits, and material movement within the warehouse. This role includes operating a cherry picker and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently to locate, count, and move inventory items.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily inventory counts, audits, and data entry to ensure inventory accuracy. Operate a cherry picker to access and verify inventory stored at various warehouse levels. Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, or misplaced items. Assist with receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping processes as needed. Update inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS). Ensure all inventory is properly labeled, stored, and organized according to company standards. Work closely with supervisors and team members to maintain efficient warehouse operations. Follow all safety protocols and operate equipment in a safe manner. Support cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconciliation processes. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications:
1+ year of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations preferred. Experience operating a
cherry picker
or
order picker
required. Must possess or be able to obtain a valid forklift/cherry picker certification. Basic computer and data entry skills; experience with WMS or RF scanners a plus. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at elevated heights. Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
