Data Scientist
to join our team at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
The Data Scientist will be responsible for leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical techniques to extract actionable insights from complex datasets within the Army Intelligence & Security Enterprise (AISE). This role will focus on developing predictive models, optimizing decision-making processes, and supporting the operational integration of AI solutions. The Data Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address mission-critical challenges and enhance intelligence capabilities.
Job Duties: Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Develop and implement machine learning models to support predictive analytics and decision-making. Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data quality, availability, and readiness for analysis. Design and execute tests to validate AI models and optimize their performance. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through reports, dashboards, and visualizations. Stay updated on advancements in data science, AI, and machine learning technologies. Support the operational integration of AI/ML solutions to enhance intelligence capabilities. Qualifications
Required Education : Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD or JD and zero (0) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree. Qualifications: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R. Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and data visualization techniques. Experience with data analysis tools and frameworks (e.g., Jupyter, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Power BI, Tableau, Palantir). • Experience with cloud-based AI/ML platforms and tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Experience with leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, or similar frameworks for tasks like natural language processing (NLP), text generation, summarization, or conversational AI. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Desired Qualifications: Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision techniques. Familiarity with Army Intelligence Enterprise data requirements and workflows. Knowledge of MLOps practices and tools for deploying and maintaining AI models. Clearance : Candidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with Poly.
