SAP SD Functional Consultant Santa Ana, CA (Onsite)
We are assisting our client in their search for an SAP SD Functional Consultant. Education/Experience/Training:
~ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
~6–10 years of hands-on SAP SD experience, with a focus on leading implementations and Order-to-Cash processes.
~ Strong integration knowledge with SAP Project Systems (PS) and other SAP modules.
~ Experience in manufacturing and distribution environments, including a track record of driving process improvements.
~ SAP certification in SD is preferred but not required.
Strong expertise in the SAP SD module, including configuration, implementation, and support.
Deep understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, ATP, and pricing configuration.
Integration experience with SAP Project Systems (PS) and other SAP modules (e.g., Knowledge of SAP best practices for sales, shipping, billing, and customer service.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex business scenarios.
Ability to lead multiple projects and manage priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Lead the design and implementation of SAP SD solutions: Develop and configure SAP SD functionalities with a primary focus on Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes, including sales orders, delivery, shipping, billing, and invoicing. Ensure seamless interaction with Project Systems (PS) and other SAP modules, such as MM (Material Management), FICO (Finance and Controlling), and PP (Production Planning), to support cross-functional business operations.
Implement robust processes to optimize order fulfillment processes, inventory allocation, and real-time availability checks.
Pricing strategies tailored to business requirements: Design and implement complex pricing procedures, including condition techniques, rebates, discounts, surcharges, and customer-specific pricing rules.
Gather and document functional requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to identify, document, and analyze business needs, ensuring they are translated into effective and scalable SAP solutions.
Optimize business processes: Streamline and enhance manufacturing and distribution domain processes, ensuring adherence to SAP best practices for maximum operational efficiency.
Collaborate with developers and system administrators to define custom development requirements, create functional specifications, and ensure the successful implementation of enhancements and integrations.
Conduct system testing: Manage and perform rigorous unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate system configurations and customizations.
Provide end-user training and support: Develop and deliver comprehensive training sessions, user manuals, and documentation to enable end-users to effectively utilize SAP SD functionalities.
Maintain and enhance SAP SD configurations: Proactively monitor, maintain, and improve existing configurations, addressing changing business needs and ensuring system stability.
Drive innovation with SAP advancements: Stay informed of the latest SAP updates, tools, and technologies, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to enhance system efficiency and business outcomes.
Support master data management: Ensure accurate and efficient management of SD-related master data, including customer master, material master, and pricing conditions.
Handle international processes: Configure and support global business processes, including intercompany sales, export sales, and integration of VAT/GST and other taxation rules.
Provide expert-level troubleshooting to resolve system issues, optimize performance, and deliver ongoing system improvements.
Project management and leadership: Lead SAP SD project initiatives, including defining project scope, timelines, deliverables, and resource planning, while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
