We're currently looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to help ensure our operations meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and sustainability. What You'll Do
Program Development & Compliance
* Design, implement, and continuously improve EHS programs, policies, and procedures to meet regulatory and corporate requirements. * Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
Risk Assessment & Hazard Control
* Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and ergonomic evaluations. * Recommend and implement engineering controls, administrative measures, and PPE solutions to eliminate or reduce hazards.
Audits & Inspections
* Lead regular site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews to identify unsafe conditions and environmental risks. * Develop corrective action plans and track closure to ensure timely resolution.
Incident Management
* Investigate incidents, near-misses, and non-conformances to determine root causes and implement preventive measures. * Maintain accurate records and prepare regulatory reports as required.
Training & Engagement
* Deliver engaging EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and leadership. * Facilitate safety committees and employee engagement initiatives to build a strong safety culture.
Environmental Stewardship
* Monitor environmental compliance, including waste management, emissions, and sustainability initiatives. * Support corporate sustainability goals and reporting requirements.
Continuous Improvement
* Analyze EHS performance metrics and drive initiatives to achieve year-over-year improvements. * Stay current with regulatory changes, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.
What You Bring
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. * Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state regulations. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with EHS management systems a plus. * Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (preferred). Associate degree or equivalent experience considered. * 1-3 years in EHS roles within manufacturing or industrial environments. * OSHA 30 required; CSP, ASP, or CHMM preferred. * Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. * Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
