Overview

Dental Assistant - Silverdale at Willamette Dental. Location: Silverdale Practice. Position Type: Full Time. Schedule: 4 10-hour days per week. Expected Hiring Range: $24 - $40 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment and materials for all dental procedures, while ensuring patients are relaxed and comfortable.
  • Work under the supervision of a dentist; perform four-handed dentistry and dental assisting within the scope outlined by state law.
  • Provide patient counseling on post-operative care and general oral health; demonstrate understanding of evidence-based dentistry.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs.
  • Obtain patient medical history and take blood pressure and pulse.
  • Take impressions of patients’ teeth for study casts.
  • Clean and sterilize all instruments in accordance with company policies and OSHA/WISHA regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sterilization area; wear protective clothing, gloves, masks and eyewear.
  • Adhere to Willamette Dental’s PPE policy, including the use of N95 respirators and other PPE as required.
  • Flexibility to travel to other Willamette Dental locations within a reasonable range as needed based on business need.
  • Maintain reliable and predictable attendance to ensure service delivery.

Education And Experience

Required: High School Diploma or GED and credentials to function as a Dental Assistant per state requirements. Desired: Graduation from an ADA-accredited dental assisting program and/or EFDA.

Licenses, Certifications And Registrations

  • Holds appropriate credentials per state regulations.
  • In Washington – Registered Dental Assistant at hire.
  • Sealant certification.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

Compensation

The actual base pay offered will be based on factors including education, experience, location, and internal equity. This position is eligible for incentive pay per the company plan.

Physical Requirements

Primarily sedentary with periods of standing; occasional walking, bending, stooping and lifting of light items. Use of computer and standard office equipment.
