Overview

Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency or previous experience as a phlebotomist
- 1-2 years phlebotomy experience on all ages preferred
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Annual Flu vaccine required
Schedule & Location
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, rotating Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm
- Work Location: 3800 W. Madison, Chicago, IL
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $17.50 - $24.50 per hour
- Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), PTO/FTO, Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan for eligible employees
- Participation in PST Incentive Plan may be available for eligible PSTs
